Grave decorated with gold was found in Panama

It was announced that a tomb estimated to be more than 1300 years old was found in the Central American country of Panama. Archaeological excavations have been continuing in Panama since 2008. Linette Montenegro, National Director of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of Panama, made a statement about the latest situation in the works. A tomb dating back to the pre-Hispanic period was found during excavations at the El Cano archaeological site in Cocle province.

Montenegro said the following about the grave: We discovered a grave estimated to be more than 1300 years old. Two bodies, dowry items belonging to a bride, some gold, ceramics, five breast belts, gold beads, four bracelets, earrings, a gold-plated bag and various necklaces were unearthed from the grave. Montenegro said that they predicted that the tomb belonged to the ruler of the period.
