FIJET Executive Committee Meeting held in Tunisia

The Executive Committee Meeting of the World Federation of Travel Writers and Journalists (FIJET) was held in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. Hosted by Tunisia on February 7, 2026, the meeting was attended by FIJET World President Tijani Haddad and members of the FIJET Executive Committee. Delal Atamdede, who also serves as FIJET World Vice President, represented Türkiye at the meeting.

ELECTORAL CONGRESS AND GOLDEN APPLE AWARD CANDIDATES

The meeting, which began with a very intensive agenda, addressed key topics including the Electoral Congress planned for 2026, Golden Apple Award candidates, and FIJET Young Tourism Journalists, as well as issues related to sustainability in tourism.

SECOND MEETING AT THE MINISTRY OF TOURISM

Following the Executive Committee Meeting, a second meeting was held at the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism upon the invitation of Tunisian Minister of Tourism Sofiane Tekaya. During this meeting, President Haddad and members of the Executive Committee exchanged views on current developments in global tourism, tourism diversity in the Mediterranean Basin, the creation of joint cooperation platforms, and the Tourism Festival planned to be held in Tunisia in 2027.
