Turkish tourism started the year 2017 with giant steps. In addition to the summits organized by World Tourism Forum in Antalya, Russia, Dubai and Istanbul; the performance of Turkey in ITB Berlin EXPO was also evaluated as a success. But the unignorable instability still prevents tourism from improving, despite all efforts.

TERRORISM KILLS THE FUTURE OF THE TOURISM

Terrorism is not only a common problem for the whole world, but also is a great danger for humanity. As the problem grows up to threaten the whole globe, many people started to indicate that something immediately must be done to solve it. Andrew Agius Muscat, Head Chief of Mediterranean Tourism Foundation, is among the authorities offering important solution options for the terrorism. Muscat stated his opinions and suggestions to TourMag after a conference he attended in Istanbul with his close friend Delal Atamdede, President of FIJET Turkey.

A NEW COMPREHENSION BASED ON PEACE

Andrew Agius Muscat believes that humanity will be way happier if tourism gets to improve more and he added: “We immediately should build a new comprehension which is based on peace.”

STABILITY AND EMPLOYMENT

Muscat also emphasized that the hard conditions we all have to face nowadays are not sustainable as they create social and political unrest. In Muscat’s opinion, stability brings employment which lets people earn money, be secure about finances and have spare time for discovering different cultures all around the world.

AKDENIZ TOURISM FORUM IS ON THE WAY

Having recently organized a summit in Malta, to discuss about global terrorism, Muscat announces that tourism authorities will come together at Mediterranean Tourism Forum in 16th-19th of March 2017, in order to discuss the problems and suggest solutions.
