The wax figure of Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and model Dua Lipa was added to the collection of Madame Tussauds Istanbul in Beyoğlu.
Merlin Turkey General Manager Tankut Tonger, in his statement to the AA correspondent after the opening, pointed to the successes of Dua Lipa’s career and said; “She is a much admired artist who has been occupying the world’s music agenda for about 15 years. She begins her career as a model. Later, she became a song writer and singer. She is a Grammy award-winning lady. In other words, she fascinates us with her talents as well as her beauty.”
The making of Dua Lipa’s wax figure took about a year of work. Special permission was received from the artist’s team in America for the styling. The size and appearance of the wax figure, which was unveiled at the launch in Madame Tussauds Istanbul before the album “Radical Optimism” that will be released on May 3, exactly reflects reality.
The museum, where figures of famous and important figures from music to cinema, from sports to state administrators, including Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Fatih Sultan Mehmet, Mevlana, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Beren Saat, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Michael Jackson, can be seen every day. It can be visited between 11.00-19.00.
