TO LOVE, PEACE AND BROTHERHOOD
On the first day of the festival, which started with the cortege walk, the Mayor of Çeşme Ekrem Oran let fly pigeons to love, peace and brotherhood and said: “I am very happy to re-establish this historical festival, which I served as the festival coordinator at the age of 22 and now as the Mayor of Çeşme after many years.”
“WE STARTED OUR JOURNEY WITH GREECE “
President Oran, stating that they started the festival with Greece and there will be different themes in the following years, continued as follows: “Under the title of ‘Two Sides of Aegean’, we started this journey from our opposite shore Greece, where we experienced suffering together in forced exchanges, accumulated common words, shared same culture in different languages, have love bond with our dances and common tastes.”
